Document Description
The Project will restore and enhance approximately 58 acres of freshwater emergent seasonal wetlands adjacent to South Stone Lake, by constructing habitat islands, swales, and potholes within the wetland to improve shorebird, waterfowl, and sandhill crane habitat. A water control structure will be installed and managed to increase the diversity and extent of native wetland vegetation within the existing managed seasonal wetland, and existing berms that surrounds the wetland will be reconstructed.
