Document Description
The project would involve the extension of public sewer service to the community of Hood by the Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD). The project includes installation of a 4” forcemain from Hood to the City of Elk Grove, along Hood-Franklin Road, Franklin Boulevard, and Bilby Road. Individual property owners would be given the opportunity to connect to public sewer service via individual lateral connections from the forcemain to existing structures. Upon connecting to public sewer service, existing septic tanks would be abandoned in place. The scope of work for connection of private residences to the public sewer is limited to the septic tank and below-grade pipe installation and does not involve any work to homes or above-ground structures.
