Document Description
The City of Los Altos is developing a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) which will include an update to the greenhouse gas inventory and evaluate its sources of impact in order to determine implementation actions to reduce emissions. In 2013, Los Altos’ first Climate Action Plan was released, calling for 15% reduction in GHG emissions by 2020 as compared to 2005 levels. This update to the City’s Climate Action Plan includes an adaptation section to prepare for the local impacts of climate change and represents the next step in the journey towards a sustainable, healthy, equitable future. The update provides a pathway to the City’s bolder GHG reduction target as well as a framework for a climate resilient community.
