Document Description
The purpose of the Proposed Project under the Knights Landing Small Community Flood Risk Reduction Program is to attain a 100-year level of flood protection for the community of Knights Landing and reduce the flood risk to the Knights Landing Basin while sustaining agriculture and the regional economy, providing safe access to the river, and improving the riverine habitat viability. Specifically, the purpose of the Proposed Project is to improve drainage facilities to reduce flooding within the Town of Knights Landing. The project would incorporate roadside ditch improvements, buried closed conduit, open channel grading, removal of existing concrete arch culvert, and degrade of abandoned railroad embankment to improve storm water drainage capacity.
