Section 15301 Class 1: Existing Facilities
Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15301, the proposed project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1 (Existing Facilities) categorical exemption since the proposed dog daycare and kennel expansion would occupy an existing building within a developed business park that would not increase the existing building footprint beyond the existing area. Furthermore, dog daycare, boarding, and training services would be provided indoors within the existing building. Existing business park access and parking would also not be modified with the proposed application.
