The proposed funding authorization is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section 15313 because this project is an acquisition of a conservation easement to preserve fish and wildlife habitat. The proposed project is also exempt under Section 15325 because it is a transfer of an ownership interest in land to preserve open space and existing natural conditions, including plant or animal habitats, and will allow restoration of natural conditions
