Document Description
In 2021 the station’s septic system failed via a broken/clogged leach field and has since been pumped regularly via private contractor. CAL FIRE Engineering has deemed that only the leach field has failed and that a new leach field should be installed to repair the station’s septic issue. The proposed new leach field would be a conventional system using 4-inch perforated drainpipe laid in gravel filled trenches and topped with soil. Trenches for leach field are to be 3 feet wide, 3 feet deep, and span up to a total of 600 lineal feet. Trenches will be dug in the northern section of the parcel and span northeastern and terminate. Area where ground is to be dug up is mostly disturbed and/or developed land. No concrete will need to be cut or removed to perform septic repair.
