Document Description
The project includes 21 culvert removal and replacements, ditch grading between PM 0.62 and PM 0.77, and placement of Class II rock slope protection (RSP) at each culvert location and in the stream zone on the north inlet side of SR 4 east at PM 0.92. Using the cut-and-cover method, existing culverts will be replaced with reinforced concrete pipe culverts with rubber gasket joints or concrete box culverts. Culvert work will consist of replacing culverts and overside drains, installing headwalls, concrete flared end sections, and stress reducing slabs; and placing RSP at the inlets, outlets, and outfalls of the culverts. Trimming and removal of shrubby and woody vegetation within riparian habitat will be performed at each proposed site as necessary. Heavy equipment may be used to haul trees off site once felled. Temporary water diversion will be required at multiple locations prior to any in-channel work if there is flowing or standing water. This is to advise that CDFW, acting as a Responsible Agency, executed the above-described Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement on the date signed below and has made the following determinations regarding the project pursuant to California Code of Regulations section 15096, subdivision (i):
