Document Description
Drive 4 new metal pilings to stabilize the existing 10x20 feet deck/sitting area. Construct 4x50 feet pier, 3x30 feet gangway, and 17x28 feet covered boatlift. Proposed new construction includes driving 11 new metal pilings. One piling will be driven in the ‘Area of repair’ where tules are present. The project begins at the existing seawall. Depth of readings in project area ranged from 1.7 Rumsey at base of seawall foundation (approx. 6 feet from seawall) to approx. –2.9 feet Rumsey at the lakeward extent of the project. Lakebed has a slight lakeward slope. Tules were present within and adjacent to the project area. Construction will occur within October 15 to December 31 work window.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is a private accessory structure. No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31 unless under direct consultation with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects on wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
