The project is within Caltrans right-of way. This project contains a number of standardized avoidance and minimization measures which are employed on most, if not all, Caltrans projects and were not developed in response to any specific environmental impact resulting from the proposed project. The purpose of this project is to preserve, repair and extend the life of the existing pavement whereby minimal maintenance is required, and improve ride quality and optimize the performance of the transportation system for travelers and goods movement.
