Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to preserve and extend the service life of the existing roadway pavement while addressing bridge, culvert, and guardrail improvements along an approximately 12.1-mile section of SR 59 in Merced County. The proposed project is needed to provide a smoother surface for traveling motorists, improve traffic safety devices to comply with the current Midwest Guardrail System (MGS), and prevent annual closures of the corridor due to flooding.
