Reasons for Exemption
The small habitat restoration and site stabilization activities of this project are exempt for the following reasons: 1) they include revegetation of disturbed areas with native plant species, which will be carried out principally with hand labor and not mechanized equipment, 2) they do not occur on more than five acres when the project area is approximately .05 acres, 3) they will have no significant impact on endangered, rare, or threatened species or their habitat, 4) there are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed, and 5) they will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past, current, or probable future projects.
