Document Description
Caltrans is proposing a project to repair areas of eroded slopes on the previous Freeman 1 project where heavy rains have caused rills and gullies to form. Rills and gullies will be filled with borrow fill materials. Dry seeding will be applied where slope erosion is evident. Fiber roll or compost sock will be installed along the hinge point of the slope where erosion is evident. It is anticipated that the installation of fiber rolls/compost socks along the hinge point of the slope at the frontage road located near PM 61.3 will require a temporary construction easement. Rock slope protection(RSP) will be constructed in areas where stormwater flow energy needs to be dissipated. The downstream side of the RSP will be located near the inlets of existing drainage systems. The frontage road near Postmile (PM) 61.3 will be used for staging.
