Document Description
Currently, Sacramento Regional Transit (Sac RT) is present at I-80 / Roseville Road under a 1984 Encroachment Permit issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) that authorizes Sac RT to construct and maintain a light rail station and parking lot. The City of Sacramento (the City) is proposing to fence off 1.05 acres (45,884 square feet) to create a “Safe Parking” area (the Program) for the Homeless, utilizing 28 double parking spaces and 14 standard parking spaces for a total of 70 parking spaces within the current Roseville Road Station parking lot. The Program shall serve between 80 and 100 guests at a time, allowing them to safely park their vehicles.
