Document Description
The projects consists of the construction of 207 linear feet of potable water lines to serve new development (8” pipe – 12 linear feet, 10” pipe – 113 linear feet, and 12” pipe – 82 linear feet). Construction will require the new pipe to tie into the existing water main. All new construction will occur within the existing road right-of-way and/or easements. Small, new above ground appurtenances will be installed within the existing public utility easement, but outside of the travel lanes.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project involves the construction of a potable water line within an existing road and right-of-way and would be less than one mile in length. The project also includes new small above ground equipment located within the existing public utility easement. The project would not require any demolition or removal of trees/vegetation and would not result in impacts to known or unknown biological or cultural resources. The project is not located within the viewshed of a scenic highway and is not on a list compiled pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code. The action is ministerial, based upon the project’s compliance with County public improvement standards, payment of impact fees, recording of public easement and determination of available water supply capacity.
