Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration
Agreement number EPIMS-LAN-23351-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mark Armendariz.
The project is limited to the 23700 Quail Haven Trail Project in an unnamed tributary to San Francisquito Creek. The project is in response to a Notice of Violation sent August 17, 2021 (1600-2021-9015-R5) involving the unauthorized placement of fill within an unnamed tributary to San Francisquito Creek on the site. The project
consists of sediment removal within the creek at the northern edge of the site and recontouring the creek to previous conditions. Approximately 11 cubic yards (cy) of imported fill material and sediment will be removed from 0.04 acres of unvegetated channel on the northern edge of the project site. The area will be excavated using a skid steer and/or by hand with a shovel, and the sediment will be removed and used in planter boxes in another area of the property. The Permittee will then use the skid steer to recontour the banks of the creek to match existing conditions immediately downstream. Fill removal and recontouring the banks of the creek is expected to take
approximately one day, and has the potential to result in permanent impacts to 0.04 acres of streambed.
