Document Description
This project is an emergency repair to a Sweetwater Reservoir Urban Runoff Diversion (URDS) facility, the Alacena Structure No. 2 road crossing. The road crossing and slope on the upper side currently showed significant signs of erosion (half of the road was completely eroded by last storm events) and the corrugated metal pipe under the crossing was heavily damaged. Emergency work began on Thursday January 6 2022 and included removal of road crossing, installation of new culvert pipe, and installation of rip rap and headwall on the upstream side of the road crossing. The emergency repairs were completed during dry days, with the URDS system in diversion mode.
