Document Description
The project is limited to routine maintenance of the fuel modification zone for the purposes of defensible space around The Oaks development. Fuel modification will consist of the removal of deadwood and debris and thinning of laddering vegetation. Laddering vegetation are woody shrubs, subshrubs, perennials or masses of un-mowed grasses over 12 inches in the understory of trees. Maintenance will be conducted annually using only hand tools such as rakes and loppers. Removed vegetation will be disposed of at an offsite location. No trees will be removed from the streambed area.
