Document Description
Minor Modification to MDL 73-053 proposes the permanent closure of the Cordeniz Feedlot (ID# 053) which will result in the herd consolidation of450 animal units that are to be transferred from the Cordeniz Feedlot to the Blue Moon Dairy (ID# 28, MDL 73-032), which is located at 13213 Road 80, Tipton, CA, in the
AE-20 (Exclusive Agricultural Zone - 20 Acre Minimum) Zone. The consolidation will not increase or decrease the number of animal units permitted within Tulare County. The herd size at the Cordeniz Feedlot will be reduced to zero and the facility will close. The animal units that are transferred to the Blue Moon Dairy will be limited in operation within compliance requirements of the Tulare County Animal Confinement Facilities Plan, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District Permits to Operate, and other affected public agencies, as necessary and proper.
