Document Description
The Monterey County Department of Public Works, Facilities, & Parks proposes to replace the former marina and fuel system within the Lake San Antonio Recreation Area. The proposed project would require the demolition and off-haul of the former marina, which is currently moored in Lake San Antonio, the removal and/or relocation of existing fuel infrastructure at the Lynch Site, and the installation of a new marina and fuel infrastructure at Harris Creek. The proposed 50-slip marina would enable campers to moor their boats overnight and would provide an on-water fueling source for boaters at Lake San Antonio. A new 12,000-gallon fuel tank would be installed in the northeast corner of the upper parking lot with an aboveground fuel line connecting to the marina. The proposed marina would also include a small retail store, built on the dock, for non-alcoholic drinks, fishing tackle, watersports equipment, and boat supplies. New water and electrical lines would be installed to serve the new retail store. A landscaped walkway would be constructed along the existing boat launch ramp to provide pedestrian access between the parking area and the marina gangway.
