Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt under CEQA according to sections 15301(l)(4) and 15302 (c) of the State CEQA Guidelines and Classes 1(h)(4) and 2(e) of the County’s Environmental Document Reporting Procedures and Guidelines, Appendix G. The project provides for minor alterations of existing public facilities, and reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. In addition, based on the proposed project records, it will comply with all applicable regulations, and there are no cumulative impacts, unusual circumstances, damage to scenic highways, listing on hazardous waste site lists compiled pursuant to Government Code section 65962.5, or indications that it may cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource that would make the exemption inapplicable.
