Document Description
Conduct geotechnical investigations in Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area to identify soil conditions under and around existing pavement areas, combination buildings, restrooms and leach fields to guide the work of replacing these features during additional proposed renovation, replacement and/or expansion work. Work will use a truck-mounted drill, equipped with hollow-stem augers and/or mud rotary drilling equipment to drill up to four (4) exploratory borings in the vicinity of existing building locations. Borings will range from 10-ft to 15-ft in depth and representative soil samples will be recorded for future analysis. Borings will be back filled with excavated materials and, where needed, capped with asphalt or colored concrete. Excess materials from the borings will be dispersed on-site.
