Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (D T S C), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) (E P A I D# CA4890008986) to treat hazardous waste through a controlled reaction with a chemical solution. The hazardous waste to be treated consist of the following: six 25-gram containers of Potassium, two 1-liter containers of 4-methyl-2-pentanone (methyl isobutyl ketone); one 25-gram, two 20-milliliter, one 10-milliliter containers of 2,2-Azobis (2-methylpropionitrile); two 20-milliliter, one 100-milliliter containers of Ethylene glycol dimethacrylate; one 100-milliliter container of Styrene; and one 20-milliliter container of Sodium.
