Reasons for Exemption
The project includes entering into a master service agreement for the provision of up to 20 rooms at an existing hotel with no expansion of the existing use, which is categorically exempt from CEQA under Class 1, Existing Facilities (CEQA Guidelines Section 15301). The hotel is not located in an environmentally sensitive area, on a hazardous waste site, and are not considered a historic resource. In addition, the project would not result in damage to scenic resources or result in significant cumulative impacts. Therefore, none of the exceptions to this exemption apply. The project site is not located within a planning area of an established LRDP.
