Document Description
Install a back-up generator and transfer switch behind the Visitor Center building at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to supply power to the building during power outages. Power outages have increased in frequency and duration and this generator will support the operation of facilities that serve park visitors. Work will: • Construct one (1) 4’ x 6’ wooden frame; • Fill wood frame with gravel; • Place a 20kW generator on top of the gravel pad; • Use a ¾ inch above ground galvanized pipe to connect the generator to an existing propane tank; and • Install a 200-amp automatic transfer switch alongside the existing electrical box.
