The proposed project is Categorically Exempt from environmental proceedings pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities, of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, which exempts interior alterations and additions to existing structures provided that the addition will not result in an increase of more than 10,000 square feet. The project qualifies as an existing facility because the project will consist of renovations to an existing building, the construction of a 10,000 square foot addition and the provision of additional on-site parking that is in an area that is not environmentally sensitive with all public services and facilities readily available.
