2021–2029 CITY OF ALHAMBRA HOUSING ELEMENT

Pursuant to State law requirements, the City of Alhambra is preparing the proposed 2021-2029 General Plan Housing Element to serve as the City's guiding policy document that provides a framework to address the existing and projected housing needs of all economic segments of the City. The Housing Element is required to be updated every eight years to ensure compliance with any changes in State housing laws, consider changes in demographics, and demonstrate the ability to meet future housing needs. The proposed 2021-2029 Housing Element will replace the existing 2013-2021 Housing Element. The project is being proposed at a Citywide level. This update does not result in physical changes to the environment but encourages the provision of housing. Physical changes to the environment would occur from implementation of the Land Use Element of the General Plan.
