The Discovery Bay community has requested that the Contra Costa County Public Works Department (County) provide additional playground equipment for Regatta Park. Currently, Regatta Park is landscaped, but only includes limited playground equipment for children. The proposed playground equipment will be for children ages 2 to 12 years old and will have a rubber safety surfacing around it. Ground disturbance and excavation will occur to an anticipated depth of approximately 3-4 feet. No utility relocations, traffic control, tree removal, or real property transactions are anticipated. Playground equipment installation is anticipated to begin July 2022 and take approximately 4 months. This project is partially funded by the California Proposition 68 Per Capita Program Grant.
