Document Description
The project is limited to complete removal of the existing pier, including removal of the three current support pilings, support structure and decking. Additionally, the stone stairway from the road to the existing pier will be removed and will be removed. Demolition of the existing pier will take place from the lake side using barge mounted equipment. Upon completion of the demolition a new staircase and pier will be constructed over the footprint of the existing pier and staircase. Six (6) new 10 ¾ inch diameter steel pipe pilings will be driven into the bed of the lake to a minimum depth of six (6) feet. All new construction on the pier will be conducted from the water using barge mounted equipment. Demolition of the existing access path and construction of the new staircase will take place from the shore of the lake.
