Document Description
The project will replace the existing 480 square-foot floating dock with two 240 square-foot floating docks. The construction includes removing three 14-inch cracked concrete guide piles, installing four new 14-inch square concrete guide piles, reusing the existing 60 square-foot gangway in a new location, and installing one new grated 60 square-foot gangway. The reconfigured dock layout will shade 94 square feet of existing eelgrass habitat. The removal of at least 243 square feet of anthropogenic debris from the bay floor at 5 locations within the Coronado Cays and establishment of 113 square feet of eelgrass habitat on-site and at a location to the south of Grand Caribe Causeway will offset the project’s unavoidable impacts.
