The length of the bridge will be increased to 17.5 feet and will be widened to 27 feet. The existing bridge will be demolished and re-built one lane at a time to maintain traffic flow. Permanent impacts include the removal of 3 California live oak trees and 2 laurel sumacs, totaling 0.01 acres of coast live oak woodland permanent impacts. Temporary impacts include 0.05 acre of impact to coast live oak woodland. As mitigation for impacts, removed trees and shrubs shall be replaced in-kind at a 5:1 ratio and all areas within the project area temporarily impacted shall be restored.
