Document Description
The project is limited to the removal of man-made debris and concrete and the stabilization of an eroded slope on the left bank of Cache Creek (Lower Area). The eroded slope will be regraded to a 2:1 slope and revegetated with native plant material. The project is also limited to the removal and management of invasive weeds growing within the channel of Cache Creek and includes giant reed (Arundo donax) and tamarisk (Tamarix sp.) (Upper Area).

The project falls under a Class 4 Categorical Exemption because it consists of minor private alterations in the condition of land, water, and vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. The project falls under a Class 33 Categorical Exemption because the less than five-acre project consists of maintenance and restoration of habitat for fish, plants, and wildlife through stream bank stabilization with native vegetation and other bioengineering techniques, the primary purpose of which is to reduce or eliminate erosion and sedimentation.
