Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to make improvements on State Route (SR) 70 in the City of Marysville in response to the Clean California State Beautification Program of 2021 authorized under Assembly Bill 149.The improvements would occur at 10 locations and four pedestrian overcrossings on SR 70 between post miles (PM) 14.084 and 14.552. The purpose of the proposed project is to advance equity and improve the aesthetics in public spaces along SR 70 between PM 14.084 and 14.552 in the City of Marysville. The existing areas around SR 70 and 1st Street/F Street are visually unappealing and not well lit. The proposed Clean CA 2021 project includes the following improvements: paint bridge walls, reconstruct and extend sidewalks, install lighting at the 1st Street underpass, paint pedestrian ramps, including walkways, columns, and walls (possibly with murals)Install mulch around pedestrian ramps, add decorative gore paving at southbound on-ramp, including on-ramp island on 1st/F Street, install rock on existing drainage channel within on-ramp loop.
