Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to make improvements on State Route (SR) 70 in the City of Oroville in response to the Clean California State Beautification Program of 2021 authorized under Assembly Bill 149. The improvements would occur at two locations on SR 70 between post miles (PM) 13.58 and 14.83. The SR 70 at Montgomery Avenue and SR 162 interchanges are the gateway to Oroville. As such, the addition of aesthetic treatment and slope paving under SR 70 will restore and beautify the communities appearance to the traveling public. The purpose of the proposed project is to advance equity for underserved communities by implementing transformative beautification projects on the state highway system and by improving the aesthetics of public spaces within the public right of way.
