Document Description
There are three existing structures to be repaired and extended; a concrete boat ramp and two existing piers. The project proposes to 1) Construct a 15x30 ft. extension to existing boat ramp. Ramp extension will be done using drop-in slabs. The overall size and individual slab sizes will be adjusted to accommodate lakebed topography, existing adjacent floating dock, and conditions at end of existing ramp. 2) (Area A) Remove existing pier, and replace with a 5x78 ft. pier; includes removing 16 wood pilings and driving 8 metal pilings. (Area B) Remove existing pier, and replace with a 5x52 ft. pier; includes removing 12 wood pilings and driving 6 metal pilings. No littoral vegetation will be removed. Tules are NOT present in the project area and will not be impacted by the proposed project. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
