Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Cannabis Distribution License submitted on 01/12/2021, by Peter Simon. Peter Simon applied for a Distribution License in a 11,182 square foot existing building to contain approximately of 10,700 square feet cannabis processing. The site is currently operating as a cannabis distribution operation and the building was previously operated as a brewery facility. The building is located on a cul-de-sac within a light industrial zoned district and the parcel is surrounded by other existing industrial buildings. Municipal water will continue to service the building and no expansion will occur at the site.

Reasons for Exemption
The Project involves the use of an existing industrial building which was formerly used as a brewery facility with no proposal for building expansion. The design, location, size, and operating characteristics of the Project are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the vicinity as it is zoned light industrial zoned. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
