General Plan amendment to clarify that life sciences, laboratory, technology, biotechnology, or research and development for properties with a General Commercial land use designation located east of Highway 101 and west of Old Bayshore Highway are allowed. Life sciences, laboratory, biotechnology, or research and development uses would allow Biosafety Level 1 as a permitted use and Biosafety Level 2 as a conditionally permitted use. The General Plan was adopted and the EIR was certified by the Millbrae City Council on December 13, 2022.
