On November 9, 2021 four erosion sites which have encroached into the levee prism were identified by DWR Sutter Maintenance staff, most likely caused by the 2 day atmospheric river event on Oct. 24-5, 2021. Inspection and emergency response along with waterside toe road is impeded by the erosion. The levee is likely to fail in the next high water event, and could result in loss of life, property damage and environmental impacts.
