Document Description
The City of Lynwood proposes the Imperial Highway and Wright Road Intersection Improvement Project to provide congestion relief during peak hours. Proposed intersection improvements would include shifting the southbound through-lane to be combined with the southbound right turn lane, allowing southbound dual left turn lanes. Upgrade of existing signage on the existing gantry are proposed to accommodate the reconfiguration of southbound lanes. Continental crosswalks composed of thick vertical striping are proposed to increase visibility for pedestrians. The intersection improvements will include various areas of pavement rehabilitation within the limits of the pavement striping. The proposed intersection project would not result in a significant effect on the environment. The proposed project is considered to be exempt from CEQA, per title 14, Section 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities.
