Document Description
The City of Lynwood proposes the project to provide congestion relief during peak hours. Proposed intersection improvements at Long Beach Boulevard and Imperial Highway include increasing storage lengths for the eastbound left and westbound left turn movements and the addition of an eastbound right turn lane. Traffic signal heads would also be modified, and a 2-foot raised median is proposed. Proposed intersection improvements at California Avenue and Imperial Highway include increasing storage length for the southbound left, eastbound left, and westbound left turn movements. Continental crosswalks have been proposed to reduce pedestrian accidents. The intersection improvements will include various areas of pavement rehabilitation within the limits of the pavement striping. The proposed intersection project would not result in a significant effect on the environment. The proposed project is considered to be exempt from CEQA, per title 14, Section 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities.
