Document Description
The City of Lynwood proposes the Imperial Highway and Bullis Road Intersection Improvement Project to provide congestion relief during peak hours. Proposed intersection improvements would include an additional westbound left turn lane to increase the storage length for the westbound left turn movement. To accommodate for the additional left turn lane, an additional receiving lane along southbound Bullis Road has been proposed, reducing on-street parking. Traffic signal heads will also need to be modified to accommodate for the additional left turn lane. Continental crosswalks composed of thick vertical striping are proposed to increase visibility for pedestrians. The intersection improvements will include various areas of pavement rehabilitation within the limits of the pavement striping. The proposed intersection project would not result in a significant effect on the environment. The proposed project is considered to be exempt from CEQA, per title 14, Section 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities.
