Document Description
The project is limited to sediment and invasive aquatic plant removal in the Kana Tayee Estates Canal. Approximately 2,500 cubic yards of decayed plant material, sediment, and invasive aquatic plants will be removed from the dry canal. Sediment removal will be accomplished using hand tools, an excavator, a bobcat, and a shore mounted conveyor belt. Access to the canal will be done through existing unvegetated access points. No work will be conducted if there is flowing water present, or if water present is connected to lake water in the project area. Removed material will be dried and stored where it cannot re-enter Clear Lake. Dump trucks will be used to transport the removed material to the landfill.
