Document Description
Caltrans proposes to rehabilitate or replace five culvert systems on Route 1 from post mile (PM) 85.09 to 88.95 near Rockport from 1.3 miles north of the Hardy Creek Bridge to 1.1 miles south of the Cottoneva Creek Bridge . The purpose of this is to improve drainage systems and reduce erosion to protect the structural integrity of SR 1.The project is needed because the culverts are severely damaged or have failed, resulting in insufficient drainage capacity causing roadway flooding and embankment erosion which could potentially lead to roadway failure.
