Document Description
The project is the adoption and implementation of the El Segundo Housing Element Update (project). The City has selected 27 candidate sites. The City is proposing the addition of a RHNA housing overlay (RHNA-O) and RHNA mixed-use overlay (RHNA MU-O) to the sites’ General Plan and zoning. Currently, the sites are designated and zoned for commercial, parking, residential, and office uses. The current General Plan designations and zoning would remain, with overlays added, which would allow property owners to have the option to develop under either set of standards (the underlying General Plan and zoning or the overlay).
