Project Description: CASE NO: General Plan Amendment 21-05173 2021-2029 Housing, Safety and Environmental Justice Elements Proposal to amend the Perris General Plan updating the General Plan Housing Element and Safety Elements and to adopt a new Environmental Justice Element. The General Plan contains nine elements and is a long-range planning document that policies for growth and development. The 2021-2029 Housing Element identifies housing conditions and needs, establishes housing policy, and develops a range of programs to meet housing needs. The Safety Element outlines the City’s policy approach to preventing, responding to, and recovering from disaster events. The new Environmental Justice Element develops a policy framework to minimize environmental impacts on disadvantaged communities.
