Document Description
SMUD is proposing to modify the Country Acres Solar Project design to allow for the improvement of an existing road within the FEMA Regulatory Floodway and the Stream System setback of Curry Creek. SMUD prepared an Addendum to the EIR to amend the impact analysis of sections 3.4.3 and 3.4.10 to include these minor impacts to the FEMA Regulatory Floodway. 3.4 of the EIR. There will be minor improvements made to this access road within the floodway/setback to reinforce the surface of the road to accommodate construction traffic. These improvements are minor and would consist of blading and compaction to remove any existing irregularities by up to 6 inches in depth. A geo grid will be placed and the excavated area will be backfilled with up to 6 inches of aggregate base. The geo grid will minimize maintenance by greatly reducing the amount of shifting of the gravel. The top of gravel will match the existing grade of the road to maintain existing drainage patterns.
