Document Description
The ASR Well #31 project is part of the City of Woodland's Aquifer Storage & Recovery (ASR) Program. ASR Wells differ from groundwater production wells by having the additional capability of injecting and storing treated surface water (in Woodland's case, from the Sacramento River). The City has previously constructed 3 ASR wells (#28, #29, and #30) and this phase of the program will construct the 4th ASR well, allowing the City to increase the program's capacity for injection, storage, and recovery of treated Sacramento River water to meet peak demands. The ASR program increases the City's drought resiliency with a high quality water supply and decreases dependence on groundwater.
