Document Description
The Project includes repairs to the water treatment building and replacement of a 1302 square foot, 50-year-old, deteriorated control building. The replacement control building will serve the same purpose but increase in size approximately 234 square feet to provide room for two new air scour blowers. Approximately 560 linear feet of piping will be repaired where the surface is restored, with a portion of the piping being relocated from under city streets. Maintenance will be performed on the water ponds which includes dredging of sludge, a 2-foot increase in depth to increase storage capacity, installation of approximately 60,000 square feet of Linear Low-Density Polyethylene liner and installation of concrete lining on the dike slopes of the backwash pond. The Project also includes rehabilitation and maintenance on a 1.5-million-gallon water storage tank, replacement of an electrical switchboard with a new concrete pad, demolition of an inactive accessory reactor clarifier, improvements to the filtration treatment units and general landscaping on overgrowth.
