Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to reduce the frequency and severity of collisions in the project limits and improve safety for the travelling public. The project will realign a 1/2 -mile section of roadway on Highway 299 in Shasta County between post miles (PMs) 44.3 and 44.9 and make the following improvements: improve alignment consistency, improve curve safety, increase sight distance, provide 4- to 8- foot (ft) paved shoulders, and increase the clear recovery zone.
