Document Description
Caltrans proposes to rehabilitate a Class I roadway, on State Route 299, between post miles R11.0 and R22.5, near Blue Lake in Humboldt County. The purpose of this project is to restore pavement quality to good condition and to minimize future traffic impacts and costly expenditures. The project is needed to improve roadway pavement quality and safety. Safety upgrades include replacing existing guardrail to meet current safety standards. More specifically, existing Metal Barrier Guard Rail will be replaced with Midwest Guardrail System. The proposed project will also replace or upgrade transition railings, signage, and transportation management system facilities as necessary.
